In the spirit of the Basset Hound’s cooperative, pack-oriented character, BHU is dedicated to sharing educational materials and working with other clubs to help improve education for the betterment of all breeds of dogs as well as providing educational materials for breeders, owners, exhibitors & judges of the Basset Hound.

BHU is dedicated to preserving our breed’s past legacies and future experiences by providing practical online education programs in all areas of interest to Basset Hound fanciers and in so doing, help carry forth the mission of the Basset Hound Club of America.

BHU was developed by Claudia Orlandi, under the auspices of the Basset Hound Club of America, and with the assistance of BHCA members. BHU is now available online.

School

Activities
School

Basset Hounds are capable of participating in many activities such as tracking, hunt performance tests, scent work, rally & obedience. Enter this school if you would like to learn more about the activities.

Breeders
School

If you currently breed or are considering becoming a breeder, this school is for you. You can obtain a deeper understanding of the breed, it’s standard and the art and science of dog breeding.

Judges
School
